Oh look, somebody brought farmed scallops. We have been hearing about them. Right out here you say?

That's it folks. That's all you see marking the lines which suspend the lantern nets where the scallops happily thrive. Protected in the nets from the green crab hordes invading our bay, the scallops mature. They feed themselves on the plankton in the water. Then we get to feast on the fresh whole scallops grown right off our shores. Lucky us!
