Maine Holiday Seafood Traditions, Past and Present

Natalie Springuel, host of Maine Sea Grant's Coastal Conversations, will be broadcasting a Christmas show on WERU at 89.9 and streaming live on WERU.org on December 23 at 4PM.

The week prior to the show, she will post a show page which will be accessible from the Sea Grant website homepage for a few weeks and permanently from the Coastal Conversations webpage. There will also be some Facebook promo on the Sea Grant Facebook page as well as on the WERU homepage. After the show airs, it will be available forever from the WERU archives which can also be accessed from the show's Coastal Conversations show page.

Farmed Scallop cookbook's Marnie Reed Crowell will be chatting with two other Maine cookbook authors, Nancy Harmon Jenkins: writer, historian, cook, traveler, and storyteller and Sandy Oliver: food historian and author from Isleboro.

Coastal Conversations is a public affairs program that explores current issues facing Maine’s coastal communities through conversations with people who live, work, and play on our coast. From fisheries to tourism, from energy to environment, from economy to ecology, Coastal Conversations goes beyond the social media sound bites, probing deeply into complex issues facing our coast and the creative solutions Maine people are using to solve them.

Tune in to WERU Community Radio (89.9 in Blue Hill and 99.9 in Bangor) in our new 4:00 to 5:00 PM time slot on the fourth Friday of each month, and streaming live online at WERU.org.
