
Who knew that zucchini season would be such a super time for farmed scallops? The sweet little whole scallops are nicely showing roe. Steam shuck them, gut them, and drizzle some browned butter on them. Stir fry some zucchini slices in olive oil. Add some sprinkles of dried oregano and fresh basil. Cook your pasta of choice. Linguini go especially well, especially if you top the noodles with some creamy alfredo sauce. (Go ahead and use a store-bought jar of the stuff- the weather is still too nice to spend much time in the kitchen!)
You know the jokes: if you don't have a garden, just leave your car parked somewhere with the doors unlocked and zucchini will magically appear.
