Now that summer has passed us by, Marsden has gone fishing for scallop spat. He will put these fiber-filled bags in the bay where his experience tells him that baby scallops -spat- will settle on them. Then he and Bob will take those to the safety of lantern nets to grow them out for a couple of years. Then it's your turn to prepare the scallops into tasty dishes!
Marnie has been busy putting the finishing touches on the new cookbook Recipe Ideas for Farmed Sea Scallops- the whole story. It's about to go to press so once again you will be hearing from us monthly on this blog. You can also look forward to a new year class of scallops and book to suggest things to do with them.
